2023 Young Players' Weekend
Welcome, Viol Players!

It is my pleasure to invite you to the 2023 VdGSA Young Players' Weekend, in person for the first time since 2019, which will be held on March 24-26 in Madison, Wisconsin at Holy Wisdom Monastery, a beautiful campus surrounded by rolling hills just north of the city.
​
We are thrilled to have Sarah Cunningham of the Juilliard School and Phillip Serna of Valparaiso University joining as guest faculty for the weekend!
​
The workshop will include a range of activities for viol players of all ability levels including coached consort sessions and special sessions led by our faculty, Sarah Cunningham, Phillip Serna, and myself.
​
We will gather on Friday night to meet all the participants. On Saturday night we will offer a voluntary masterclass led by our guest faculty, Sarah Cunningham and Phillip Serna.

There is no age limit to attend YPW. If you feel that you are a young player, you are welcome to attend!

Payment and Cancellation Policy
All-inclusive fee is $150 for the weekend. This covers all meals, lodging, and tuition.
Payment is due in full by February 10, 2023 (late registration, $175 by February 24, 2023). Payment can be completed online at https://www.vdgsa.org/payment
Cancellations must be made by February 24, 2023 to receive a refund (minus $25 fee).
NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE AFTER February 24, 2023

10:30-11:45 am Session 2

1:00-2:00 pm Siesta, Nature Walks, Uncoached consort playing
2:00 pm-3:15 Session 3

Sunday (March 26, 2023)

COVID-19 Policy. We will be following policies set by Holy Wisdom Monastery.

Masks will be optional in shared indoor spaces for Young Player's Weekend participants and faculty..

Masks will be required for large group gatherings of 50 or more, such as Sunday Assembly worship and memorial services which are open for any who would wish to attend.

All Holy Wisdom coworkers are fully vaccinated and we urge others to stay up to date with COVID vaccines and boosters.

Get tested if you have symptoms.

Do not come to the Young Player's Weekend at Holy Wisdom Monastery if you have any COVID symptoms.
