Summary of Submitted Materials:
Air fare information, as well as registration, application, and other fees as communicated to me by the organizer. N.B. The air fare information I got was from Expedia, and closer to the date I will be searching for the best prices available. Should I be awarded a Grant-in-Aid, I will report any deviation from todays estimate. I will be sending both this information and some recordings shortly.

Committee Notes:
Not sure if this one from Mark C. looks as weirdly full of blue text and underlinings to you as it does to me, but you get the idea, it is a rave...Right? Lemme know if you have a problem with this, the kid is very cool - WG
I only see one from John Moran - none from Mark. Could you post it again?
Here you go, on my screen it is now listed as #3 AND #4 below. ("Niccolo Consort Collective.pdf") Can you see it?
Is anything missing from any application? I would hate to be responsible if something hasn't got posted!!!! And will confess to being just a touch overwhelmed at the moment, but of course, let me know if something is not there that would disqualify anyone and I'll check on it.

Project Description:
This summer, I have the opportunity to go to two linked summer festivals in Orte, Italy Recitar Cantando, where I will be studying continuo for accompanying voices with the unabashedly unique Marco Beasley, plus Guido Morini and Accordone, and 7o Corso Internazionale di Musica Antica Ottaviano Alberti, where I will be playing in consorts with Friederike Heumann and others. The total cost for my attending the program will be 2233, of which approximately 1400 is airfare, the rest being course fees, room and board. Much of my work at Peabody is playing continuo for singers, a role that I particularly enjoy. This opportunity does not occur every year or even on a predictable schedule so I hope to take advantage of it now. I am not in a position financially to support both these festivals and Conclave, and my family can help only to a very limited degree.

Qualifications:
I am currently pursuing my Bachelors degree in Viola da gamba performance at Peabody Conservatory, in the studio of John Moran. I am a member of Peabody Renaissance Ensemble, its professional touring company Peabody Consort, and Baltimore Baroque Band. In addition, I am a member of Diviso viol, lutes, guitars which recently performed with Boston-area vocal ensemble The Broken Consort. As a result of this engagement, I was invited to record with one of the members. I was also selected to play the infamous viol solos of Bachs St. Matthew Passion at Christ Lutheran Church in Baltimore in April. In March, I performed the Bach Gamba Sonata in g minor with the Friends of Chamber Music Society Baltimore Chapter. I was the designated bowed continuo player for the singers at the 2012 Amherst Winter Weekend. This experience made me want to continue developing my skills as a continuo player for voices. I have been playing the viol for six years, and have won several awards, including a 2011 EMA Summer Program Scholarship. My musical education includes two masterclasses with Paolo Pandolfo, many with Sarah Cunningham, Catharina Meints, and have taken lessons with Tina Chancey viol, and soon vielle, Brent Wissick, Ann Marie Morgan.
